Wichita Falls is a great place, with some great people and stories. However, it’s not really on the way from Dallas to Lubbock (or from Lubbock to Dallas). So unfortunately, the best I can do, is to help you on your way to Olney, which is definitely on the way from Dallas to Lubbock.

Then again, you’ve made it this far, and among the many things I try to avoid on this site, are dead ends, places from where there’s simply no where to go, except maybe to backtrack. So as a kind of consolation prize, I’ll offer you this, a way to thanks someone for their assistance, or kind deed, in the language of those who once lived here–the Wichita Indians.

The Wichita Indians spoke, that’s right: Wichita. And the Wichita words for ‘thank you’ are pronouned “soo teets.” More here.

Now, let’s get you back on the road to Olney.
